Coast Guard

From Tycoon Gaming

WIP: Quinn/Josh
Coast Guard is one of the specialized jobs in Transport Tycoon. As a member of the coast guard, you go out on sea to save people from drowning on their boats, and take them back to safety.

Getting started

First, go to the Specialized Job marker in the Docks of Los Santos. Once you have selected the Coast Guard job, you can go into the white marker next to the job changer to go on duty. This job is a job where you work with other people. If other people in your session are still out on the sea to save people, you cannot join in right away, but you will have to wait until the people are saved, and all coast guards have come back to the HQ. Once this happens, you will get a text message saying that the fleet has returned and if you want to join, that now is your time. After this, there will be another callout. Around 30 seconds after getting a callout, you will have 3 new blinking blips on your map, one for a helicopter all the way out on the helipad, another one for a boat in the left docking spot, and another one is a car with a trailer.

Saving people

Once you go on the sea, you might not have a marker at first. This is because the boat still has to be located. After a while, you will get a white circle on your map, suggesting the area where the boat is. You still have to find the boat. Once you or another coast guard finds the boat, everyone will get a red boat on their radar. They will have to go to the boat, and get close to it to, you will get 'stuck' and from there on, you will pick up people. After filling your boat or helicopter with people, you will get a new blip on your radar. You will have to go the new blip, and after that you're done. You can go back to save more people if needed, or you can return to the HQ.
